‘When Atom Met the Event-Driven Architecture’
Atom is a popular syndication format for web content such as news articles and blog posts. Event-driven architectures provide the basis for extremely loosely-coupled systems. In this talk Ian describes how to implement event-driven systems using the Web as a platform, and in particular, how to replace the middleware usually used to integrate systems with an alternative, Atom-based solution.
Rossen Stoyanchev, of VMWare / SpringSource, will present:
"Spring 3.1 features worth knowing about

The list of features (made popular in JIRA) includes bean definition profiles, a new Environment abstraction, a Java configuration alternative to the Spring XML namespaces, and a caching abstraction."
